Snow: The 1-2 Punch

Two U.S. snow storms have the attention of the ImpactWeather StormWatch team this morning. The well-advertised Mid-Atlantic storm is reaching its peak intensity today; moving off the coast tomorrow. While in the northern Plains a second storm is set to deliver impressive snowfall totals today and tomorrow. This second storm, by the way, will continue early next week: additional snowfall is expected in Texas and Oklahoma, while temperatures plunge to the single digits with wind chills well below zero for the northern and central Plains. Additionally, this will be a snow, rather than an ice event. Although a bit of freezing rain/sleet is expected in northern Arkansas Sunday morning.
